Focusing on academic collaborations and cultural interaction in the Kafkas Region, ACU both moves ahead on extension of current academic collaborations and desires to sign new academic collaboration agreements with universities in Georgia.

A group from ACU Research and Application Center of International Relations led by the president of our university Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Tilki visited Consulate to Turkey in Batumi on March 26, 2018. Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Tilki was accompanied by Dr. Mehmet Özalp, the director of ACU Research and Application Center of International Relations, Vice director Dr. Bülent Turgut, Mevlana Coordinator Dr. Mustafa Kemal Gümüş, and Instructor Hakan Gultekin responsible for ACU Research and Application Center of International Relations. Our president Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Tilki presented a plate marked with our university to Makbule Koçak, the consulate to Turkey in Batumi for the memory of the day.
Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Tilki also visited Associate Prof. Dr. Merab Khalvashi, the president of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and stressed on academic collaborations and cultural interaction between the two universities. The parties agreed on signing a prospective agreement on opening a mutual graduate programs.
After the meeting, Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Tilki invited Associate Prof. Dr. Merab Khalvashi, the president of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University to the International Artvin Symposium to be held on 18-20 October 2018.

New Agreements will be on the way in the fields of Natural Sciences, Health Sciences and Fine Arts
A group from ACU Research and Application Center of International Relations with the participation of Dr. Mustafa Kemal Gümüş, Mevlana Institutional Coordinator and Instructor Hakan Gultekin responsible for Erasmus+ Office conducted an interview in the context of academic cooperation with Dr.Ermile Meskhia, the Rector of Batumi Art State Teaching University on March 27, 2018. At the meeting, an agreement was reached between Artvin Coruh University and Batumi Art State Teaching University on the Erasmus + agreement and a new agreement under the Mevlana Exchange Program. It was also decided to start working under the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility.
A group from ACU Research and Application Center of International Relations came together with a group from External Relations Coordinator on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Tbilisi State University, one of the long-established universities of Georgia. At the meeting, the Erasmus + agreement between Artvin Coruh University and Tbilisi State University was signed and the initiation of work within the framework of International Credit Mobility was agreed on. Views were also exchanged on the extension of the existing Mevlana Program agreement between Tbilisi State University and Artvin Coruh University.
The group from External Relations met the representatives of Tbilisi University and Tbilisi Georgia Agricultural University, which belong to the network of international FREE universities. The officials of the Agricultural University of Georgia, who are competent in the fields of nature and ecology agreed with the subjects that entered into the joint work areas of both universities and especially academic activities in the field of natural sciences academic staff will be covered. In addition, both Tbilisi University and Tbilisi Georgia Agricultural University and Erasmus + agreements have been agreed to make Mevlana Exchange Program active.
The group from External Relations followed these talks at Ilia State University and Tbilisi State Medical University. At the meeting held at Ilia State University, it was decided to sign a comprehensive cooperation protocol between the two universities. At the meeting held in Tbilisi State Medical University of Georgia, a preliminary meeting was held between the two universities to ensure that the academicians and students working in the field of Health Sciences meet through using the academic channels.
